This page is intended to cover the basic information about having your own Message Board forum at GayCams. I used to send out a form letter on request, but since the message board was upgraded March 7, 2002 a lot has changed. So, this is the beginning of a new approach.

Here are the two most important points:

1. Only web cammers listed at GayCams are invited to host forums.
2. All web cammers listed at GayCams are invited to host forums.

As discussed on my About page, the goal of GayCams is to help foster communities. I think message boards help to boost the individual cam-centered communities, so I want to help make it easy to set up a good one; and having many such forums available all in one place helps to foster the broader community of cam hosts and cam fans. Of course, I don't want it to be done in such a way as to detract from your own site, so I will put together a custom design that closely matches the font and the colors of your site.

There are very few limitations, all very ordinary, and they are mostly covered in the FAQ and on the way to the Registration page. Users may not post pornographic images directly into the forums and should use links instead. No pictures of nude cam operators - except as posted by themselves; no links to stolen cam capture collections, no links to cam capture software, no personal attacks or abuse, no promotion of kiddy porn, no software piracy, no copyright infringement. You can edit or delete messages beyond those restrictions to suit yourself.

For a simple design, just provide me some type of title graphic for the top center and choose the main colors: background color, alternating colors for the messages, and two more colors for primary tables.

If you wish, you may provide custom graphics for any or all of the buttons you see in each forum. You may also provide elaborate html snippets to include at the top and bottom of each page of your forum, including your site navigation, live cam image thumbnails, and so on.

You can use your own ad banners if you want at the top and bottom of each page but most people choose not to. Please leave in place the credit for Badpuppy. You may, however, use your own referrer code in the link to Badpuppy. If you use a banner ad of your own, it must not promote a direct competitor of Badpuppy.

I will need to know the exact user name you registered with at the message board. I'll also need to know the brief title and brief description you want me to use. Once the board is set up to your satisfaction, I will list it in the directory on the main page of the message board and you will be the moderator.

You have the option of receiving copies of all messages posted to your forum, by email as soon as they are posted. I usually leave this feature on at the beginning. Tell me if you ever want it turned off.
